Senior Account Executive

A Senior Account Executive manages relationships with media and clients, develops working relationships with national business, trade, and broadcast media. Senior Account Executives structure and coordinate strategic and tactical planning. In addition, Senior Account Executives manage and participate in trade shows, as well as media and analyst tours.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily contact with client, advising and counseling on public relations activity
  • Communicate clients' strategy and program to the editorial and analyst community
  • Write and edit news releases, articles, presentations, and speeches. Coordinate tours, product launches, editorial calendars, events/trade show activity, interviews
  • Provide supervision, direction, and support to assigned team members
  • Research, design, develop, implement, and manage client projects
  • Develop and place appropriate stories by and about the client in business, trade, and consumer media as needed
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between client and O’Keeffe & Company
  • Manage client reporting and other client administrative duties
  • Contribute ideas to program development for the client and for new business proposals
Skills Required:

  • Ability to write strategic materials for client
  • Ability to generate ideas and think creatively
  • Ability to supervise the work of Account Executives, Account Coordinators, and Interns
  • Ability to supervise multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Skill in project management
  • Business presentation skills, including their development
  • Good listening skills
  • Ability to work within assigned budgets
Other Recommended Qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree; graduate degree in business or specialist area preferred
  • Four to six years professional experience in communications field
  • Public relations agency experience
  • Experience in the technology industry
